57 Characters
When perception writes the ending before reality does.

Thought Behind Idea
57 Characters is a short film built on tension, misperception, and the weight of a single moment. Shot with tight frames, shadow-heavy lighting, and deliberate pacing, the film leans into suspense without revealing too much, keeping the audience on edge until the final twist. Every choice from the faceless hoodie shot to the quiet sound design, was made to let fear and empathy share the same screen.
This wasn’t just about telling a story, but about how it was told. We treated the camera like a character, following the girl’s vulnerability and the stranger’s ambiguity in a way that built unease frame by frame. The final reveal, a misunderstood gesture captured in 57 characters, leaves viewers questioning instinct, perception, and consequence.
More than a film, it’s a showcase of how minimal dialogue and strong visuals can still speak volumes.
